NO PRACTICE MONDAY 02/20, PRESIDENTS DAY
Enjoy the Monday holiday tomorrow. Run with friends on your own if you can. You can do the workouts on the calendar.
Injuries:
For those of you getting back into shape and those of you that are new to sports, I'm sure you are feeling sore from the first couple weeks. If anyone is feeling pain beyond being sore from the tough workouts, please let myself or any of the other coaches know so we can address it. The sooner we can start on preventive measures the better. We want you all to progress safely through the season.
Spikes:
We are less than three weeks away from our first meet. As we get closer, you should be thinking about what events you'd like to do. Different races have different styles of spikes that are best suited for them. Please ask a coach about getting a pair of spikes if you are unsure or to confirm your decision. You'll want to have them for when we start practicing block starts.
Practice:
For practice this week we will be on our normal schedule, 3:30-5:00 at Hidden Valley. If you would like to work on an event or technique we will stay till 5:30 to help.
It is going to be a chilly week, please wear sweats so you can warm up and cool down properly. If there is no lightning, we will have practice in the rain. Assume practice is on unless I send out a notification saying otherwise.
New athletes are still more than welcome to join us, so long as they have been cleared. I know Winter sports are almost over for those in finals. If you know anyone that is in finals that would like to come out still and join us, please tell them they are more than welcome to!
Carpool:
If you still need help with carpooling I encourage you to reach out to the people on the contact sheet. It is best if you work together, as this is to help you all drive less. I try to stay out of carpool unless needed as a backup driver.
