Hey Football Family,

 

This Week’s Theme:  Sacrifice

Def. (1) destruction or surrender of something for the sake of something else; (2) to suffer loss of, give up, renounce, injure, or destroy especially for an ideal, belief, or end

Being willing to give up personal goals for a greater good is what team sports are all about.  Are you willing to allow others to have the spotlight and you do the dirty work?  Or what about even doing the work that gets no credit…the scout team.

 

Teams that are willing to put the team before the individual will always beat those teams that must have the spotlight on one specific player.  And the lesson carries over in life.  Families must sacrifice for each other.  Husbands and wives must sacrifice for each other.

 

The irony is when you are able to put away the selfish thoughts and sacrifice for a greater good it is very rewarding.

 

No team has ever won a championship without some sort of sacrifice from EACH and EVERY single member of the team.

 

What are you willing to sacrifice for the growth and success of the team?  What are your contributions to the team?  Is your dedication evident every single day, every rep, every drill at practice?

 

Sacrifice is a skill that is better seen than heard.  This week, let your actions speak louder than words.
