Hello Team!
It’s coming down to the last wire of our season. League Playoffs is Tuesday 4/25 at “ORANGE GLEN HS”. Be there by 8am for warm ups. Bring lots of snacks / lunch as this will go on until 3pm ish. See below more information. The link below is the draw - take a look at it and start preparing yourselves mentally and physically for a long day of good competitive matches.
League Playoff will begin with Single matches. Doubles will soon start as soon as courts becomes available after singles. Be “TENNIS” ready as they will be calling players to be on deck for next available courts. Start stretching while waiting for court availability. We need all of you in good physical and mental form. Do the best you can and play with NO excuses and NO regrets! Caimans you got this!
Our “Pick Two Players of the Week" goes to Zach De Soto and John Fernandez!
Both are seniors, and will sadly be missed at the end of our season. They have contributed to the team in their own gifted ways and deserve all the credit for showing their teammates to be the best player they can be.
John is soft spoken - witty and incredibly gifted playing the piano. Not to mention, as you can see, John has the “best” ready position on the team:) At our banquet last year he finds himself entertaining his fellow teammates while they outplay & rumble over ping pong points. John has also been our top recruiter this season getting us a loyal player Caleb, and almost got another player, an honorable attempt for sure. Thank you John for always showing up to practice and matches and with a “yes can do attitude”. You are always willing to play wherever the team needs you to play. You are a true Caiman and we will miss your quiet inner strength Grrrr that you exude.
Zach is our beloved team captain this year, and has been a stable player throughout the season. Playing primarily doubles, he has proven to be a versatile teammate and consistently provides stable ground stroke returns. Zach is thoughtful & methodical when playing & always encourages his partner and team to stay focus, work hard and stay calm. All the best to you Zach wherever you choose to go to college! (Go Bruins?)😀
Congratulations to Zach and John for being this week’s “Pick Two Players of the Week"!
