This week in football: Commitment
Commitment is not as important in our world today as it used to be. Being willing to stand by our word is difficult and now easy to break. Look at the transfer list for colleges or coaches leaving jobs left and right. It is hard to practice commitment in our world because often it means doing something that is not always easy.
This lesson must be learned or our families will continue to suffer from it.
This lesson is one of the hardest to learn, because we never truly know if we are committed until something difficult arises. So, here is a shout out to all of you guys who have been around for the past few years.
To the guys that were here for the “0 for…” spring season and the 1-9 season just a year ago: your commitment to our program is coming to fruition this year. It has been fundamental in creating a new brand of Caiman Football.
So, here we are in week 11. We aren’t done yet.
Keep grinding. Keep encouraging one another to grow and perform.
You’ll know, when the whistle blows for the last time if you were committed or if you were just along for the ride.
