Hello Football Family,
For the Weight Room, you will want to drop your athlete off at the back gate nearest the weight room as the school’s front entrance will not be open; that gate is located on Juniper between Pennsylvania and Valley Pkwy. It is right across the street from the Joor Muffler statue. Here is a link for directions to the school, just in case it is your first time to the Studio Campus.
Water fountains will be available; please bring your own reusable water bottle/hydro.
All athletes will leave their personal items outside under the solar shade coverings.
The Weight Room will close promptly at 930a (Monday and Friday) and 530p (Wednesdays).
For Field Workouts, Hidden Valley MS is located at 2700 Reed Rd, Escondido.
It is imperative that all athletes bring plenty of water to the field. Each athlete should be equipped with cleats as we will be working out on the grass and good footing is important for avoiding soft tissue injuries.
Please reach out if you have any questions at [email protected].
Sincerely,
Coach Josiah

FAQs
Faith. Family. Football.
As a young man, this is what was ingrained in me when it came to football. Football is an awesome sport, but your faith is more important. Football gives opportunities that will last a lifetime, so make time for family. Football has its place in life and while we push you to be the best you can be, it isn’t the most important thing. For this season of your life, we hope it comes in right behind faith and family.
Is Summer Workouts mandatory?
Summer workouts fall under the category of Voluntary Off-Season Training. So, no, they are not mandatory. A lot of things in football aren’t mandatory: the other team doesn’t have to let us score, the other team doesn’t have to let us get first downs, the other team doesn’t have to stop scoring when they are in the lead late in the game. You also don’t have to play the whole game or get the ball on every single play.
Other things are mandatory, football, if you want to be in a position to win games, requires dedication to hard work, a commitment to learning, high level focus on details, strength, conditioning, and passion. Football, what you have to do out on the field, requires more from you then you think you can give at times. Being at workouts throughout the summer closes the gap between what football requires at times and what you can give during those times.
If you have a choice between faith and football, choose faith. Football will be here waiting when you get back. So for all of you who are going to summer camps like Hume Lake or the like, enjoy!
If you have a choice between family and football, choose family. Football will be here when you get back. We understand that for many of you (and our football coaches as well) that summer is the time you have set aside to plan for time together as a family. Please do!
Choose football over doing nothing at home during the summer. Do you need time with friends? Absolutely you do! While you could go to the beach every single day with them, I’m asking you to leave a bit early or head down a little later a few days a week. It is a small sacrifice.
See you at the field and in the gym this week.
