Hey Football Family,
It was a wonderful time celebrating this past football season with you this past week at the Football Banquet closing the chapter on our incredible 22 campaign.
As the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end", but just like that we see ourselves preparing for the 23 campaign.
Over the next several months, we will be in the weight room and mixing in some time out on the field. To guide you through the upcoming season, here is a look at the road ahead:
23/24 Caiman Football Calendar
Between now and Spring Break, we are initiating our Football Fitness Program. This program focuses on Weight Room disciplines and soft tissue injury prevention.
We will not host any football activities during Spring Break.
After Spring Break, we will begin Spring Football and start hitting the weights as we seek to get bigger, faster, and strong prior to the Fall. This program will also take us out to the field for some 7v7 competitions against some of teams all over the county. Considering we encourage all of our athletes to play other sports, we will try and schedule these competitions for the weekends. Spring football will conclude the week before finals.
We will not host any football activities during finals week/graduation.
Summer Ball will unfold in 2 phases.
Phase 1 is a 3 week program of intense weight training for returners while incoming freshmen are trained in beginner concepts of the weight room. Field work/7v7 competitions will also take place during this phase of summer.
Our CIF-mandated "No Contact Period" will run from June 26 - July 7. During this time, coaches and players are not allowe to have any football related contact.
Phase 2 of summer is another 3 week program consisting of weight room training and field work that includes 7v7 competitions.
Athletes can earn points by participating in off-season workouts/activities. Top-performers will receive prizes at Football Gear-up Day.
On Saturday, July 29th the boys will pick up their football gear for the 23/24 season.
Tryouts/First Day of Practice is scheduled for July 31st.
