Senior Basketball Guard Faith Brinkman Signs with The Master's University.
Next year The Master's University women’s basketball program, currently 19-0 and ranked #4 in NAIA D1 play, will be adding Classical Academy High School star point guard Faith Brinkman to their roster.
Faith has played basketball since the age of 6 and it shows when she is on the court. Last year she became the first Caiman basketball player (boy’s or girl’s) to hit 1000 points in her high school career. She also holds the record in every category; scoring, rebounding, assists and blocks. She not only leads with her stats, she has also been a 3-time captain and a great asset to the coaching staff at Classical Academy High School.
In her high school career, she has achieved the following awards.
Team MVP - 2019, 2020, 2021
First Team All-league 2019
First Team All-League and League MVP 2020
First Team San Diego All D4 Team 2020
First Team All-League 2021
Cali-Hi All-State Team top 10 D4 2021
All-Academic Team 2020 and 2021.
When asked what she loves most about basketball she had this to say, “Basketball has always been a part of my life. I grew up watching my parents play and I naturally fell in love with the game. I love that I can express myself out on the court when I am playing. I am able to build relationships with others and be in community with them. I love the competitiveness of the game and it makes me push myself to be a better player, person, and version of myself each day. I am very grateful for my incredible teammates as I would not have achieved these goals without them.”
When Faith is not playing basketball she loves art, music, fashion, hanging with her friends, and serving on Sundays at her church. She is very excited about playing at the next level and pursuing a degree in Kinesiology. Faith hopes to one day work with student-athletes and coach basketball.
